At Design West, we love color! Especially the colors of the spring and summer seasons. Incorporate current top color trends using the rule of “60-30-10”. This means 60% of a dominant color (pictured here-Coral), 30% of a secondary color (pictured here-Aqua) and 10% of an accent color (pictured here-Sand). The color combination of these accent pieces blend beautifully as seen in this example from our Arenas model in Grey Oaks. This living room uses a complimentary color scheme that works perfectly for the more formal rooms of your home, such as the living and dining areas. Curious on the top colors of the season?
The Pantone® Color Report states there is a move toward the cooler and softer side of the color spectrum this season. Ethereal mixes of understated brights, pale pastels and nature-like neutrals. Colors like Aquamarine, Scuba Blue, Aqua, Classic Blue, Toasted Almond, Strawberry Ice, Tangerine, Custard, Marsala, and Glacier Gray are this season’s soft, cool hues.
